Science group was helping the tech group by holding the wood so it would be easier to saw the wood. They also looked at what insects will live on the roof. They found out that sedum is £33 a square metre. Our application to BP has been written. We have asked for £400 to cover the whole project. We got our timber for free from Garioch plant hire.

Today we are starting a blog for our bp living roof project. We had some problems with emails and usernames, some people’s worked and some people’s didn’t. Someone came up to the IT department and asked us what we need to buy. Mr Simpson said we need that data logger and a set of blank dvd’s. Someone suggested we get t-shirts that say bp living roof and wear them every Tuesday lunchtime while up in IT.

Everyone was out on the quad. We took measurements of  proposed area for the living roof. We also discussed what materials we would use for the roof and weather or not we should put some type of door on the roof so we can access to record results.
